Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette Now at Ulta

The Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette ($30) is now available at Ulta.com! This palette is accompanied by the California Dreaming Cheek Palette I posted about the other day (available at Kohls).

Chunky sweaters and jewels, wind and white plush clouds, the glow of the sun and your toes in the sand. Lorac Los Angeles brings you an eye shadow palette that was inspired by all the things we love about the sunny city in late winder. This soft, universal eye shadow palette contains 12 matte and shimmer shades with a variety of highlight, crease, lid, and liner shades. Grab your sweater, sunglasses, and sandals and experience what Lorac has dreamed up for you.

I'm loving this mix of warm and cool-toned shades...it's a breath of fresh air from the all-warm toned palettes we've been seeing recently. It looks like it has a great mix of mattes and shimmers and the colors are totally wearable (but not the same old boring browns).

I'm definitely picking this one up...what about you? Grab it now at Ulta.com and be sure to activate the 5x points on Lorac that's available now in the Bonus Offers section of your account!

NEW! Lorac California Dreaming Cheek Palette

I'm totally swooning over the new Lorac Cosmetics California Dreaming Cheek Palette ($30 at Kohls.com). These warm, peachy colors might be just the thing to bring me out of my winter makeup rut and get me thinking about Spring.

This LORAC California Dreaming cheek palette contains four limited-edition shades to use as a highlighter, blush and bronzer.

  • Includes: Sunlight, Wavelength, Ray and Golden Hour shades
  • Contains four limited-edition shades to add highlight, color and glow to your complexion
  • Versatile highlight, blush and bronzer palette
  • Includes: 4 cheek colors (.48 oz. total weight)
According to Lorac's comments on social media, this won't be hitting stores (Ulta and Kohls) until 1/19 but will be available on Lorac's website before then. So I was surprised to see it already on the Kohl's website (it's not at Ulta yet as of the time of this post).

I already ordered one so you can expect a review & swatches next week when it arrives! :) Will you be getting one?

Stila Matte 'N Metal Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

I had a little bit of money left over on an Ulta gift card from my birthday in November so when I walked into my local Ulta and saw the new Stila Matte 'N Metal Palette ($49) I grabbed it without a second thought! I have always been tempted by the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette, especially since I know her formula is amazing, but there are some shades in that palette that I know I'll never wear. Looking at this palette, on the other hand, I knew that I would wear every single shade which is important, especially when you're dropping almost $50 bucks on it.

Let's take a look!

New Lorac Light Source Illuminating Primers

Lorac Light Source Illuminating Primer ($35) is brand new for Spring 2016 and is now available at Ulta.com and Kohls.com.
They come in two shades...Dawn (pearly white) and Dusk (golden bronze).

Instantly bring luminosity and life to your face while preserving your makeup throughout the day with LORAC Los Angeles Light Source 3-in-1 Illuminating Primer. This paraben-free, high-pearl primer is infused with light diffusing, soft focus pigments for a silky smooth, luminous glow.

3 ways to use:

  • Alone as a face primer under your makeup.
  • Mixed in with your foundation or moisturizer.
  • Applied on top of makeup to brighten and highlight.

I need the Dawn shade in my life! It looks like it'll be stunning on fair skin.

Kopari Coconut Body Oil Review

kopari coconut body oil review
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I'm crazy about coconut everything, including coconut oil. I have super dry skin and I love using it to moisturize from head to toe. The one downside is that it can be a little messy to use, so I was super excited to discover Kopari Coconut Body Oil ($34). This is a dry coconut oil spray...how genius is that?

If you're new to Kopari, they are passionate about all things coconut (just like me!) and they create all of their products with the highest-grade, 100% organic coconut oil sourced directly from the Philippines. Every product is made as naturally as possible with no sulfates, silicones, parabens, GMO's, or toxins, so you know that you're not putting anything gross on your body...just the good stuff.

Tarte Maneater Palette Review & Swatches

The Tarte Maneater Palette ($29) recently launched at Ulta.com and is part of a new collection that also includes the Maneater Mascara ($23), and Maneater Self-Sharpening liner ($20). The warm neutral shades really spoke to me, plus it includes a highlight shade so I decided to take the plunge and try it out! Let's take a closer look...

Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush Review

too faced papa don't peach blush review
Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush ($30) launched last week along with the rest of the Sweet Peach Collection and being the blush hoarder I am, how could I say no? It's cute, it smells like peaches, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite blush shades of all time.

Let's take a look!

Tarte Tarteist Eye & Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

tarte tarteist eye and cheek palette review
I picked up the new Tarte Tarteist Eye & Cheek Palette on a whim after seeing photos of it on Instagram. Even though the eyeshadow shades look very similar to other Tarte palettes (like the Tartelette in Bloom for example), I decided to buy it because of its small, travel-friendly size and the fact that it includes a blush (which is a gorgeous color by the way). I purchased it for $30 at Macys.combut later I found out that it's also available as part of a set with 5 full-sized products on QVC.com (the entire set is only $49).

Let's take a look!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection Launching Tonight!

Get ready! The entire Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection launches tonight at midnight (central time) on Ulta.com, midnight Pacific Time at Sephora.com and is already live on HSN.com. This includes the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette ($49), Sweet Peach Glow Palette ($42), Papa Don't Peach Blush ($30) and the Sweet Peach Creamy Lip Oil ($19).

When the Sweet Peach palette launched back in the Spring I didn't purchase it because I didn't think I would use the colors, but then I ended up purchasing it last week during the pre-sale and I'm so happy I did! It's so pigmented with hardly any fallout, and the colors are gorgeous! It's full of warm neutrals with pops of peachy pink (and even a muted olive green). It's perfect for this time of year because of all the deeper shades...great for creating a warm smoky eye.

Here are my swatches (full review to come shortly):

Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Amazonian Clay Palette Review

tarte tarteist pro to go eyeshadow palette review
I picked up the Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist Pro To Go Amazonian Clay Palette ($23 at Sephora) on Cyber Monday and it's quite possible that I love it even more than the larger version! From the silky smooth, buttery formula to the shades I would reach for every single day it's a palette I can see myself reaching for a ton.

Let's take a closer look!

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow To Go Palette Review

tarteist pro glow to go palette
I picked up the new Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow To Go Palette ($23 exclusively at Sephora) on Black Friday and I'm so glad I did! When Tarte launched the larger Tarteist Pro Glow palette a few weeks ago I was disappointed because quite a few of the shades looked too dark for my fair complexion. I swatched them in-store at Ulta and the formula felt so awesome...I just couldn't justify spending $45 on a palette that I could only use half of.
Fast forward to Black Friday and I didn't hesitate to snap this one up...all of the shades seemed like they would work for me.

Let's take a closer look...

Sneak Peek of the Tarte Maneater Collection

Tarte will be releasing a brand new collection this holiday season called Maneater. They had actually debuted the Maneater Mascara on QVC earlier this fall in a duo (they were offering two full sizes for $28), but it has since sold out.

The new collection will include three products:

  1. Maneater Voluptuous Mascara $23- Promises a 23x increase in lash volume after 2 coats with a jojoba-infused formula. It'll be available on the Tarte Website on November 27th (this coming Sunday!). Here's hoping it'll be included in the 25% off sale!
  2. Self-Sharpening Liner $20- The formula is poured as a liquid and then solidifies into a thin pencil with a self-sharpening cap and precision point. Safe for the waterline. Will be available December 4th on the Tarte website.
  3. Maneater Eyeshadow Palette $29- This palette includes 7 eyeshadows (3 matte, 2 satin, 2 shimmer) and 1 highlighter. It's going to be available on the Tarte website on December 28th.
Here are some swatches of the eyeshadow palette I found on Instagram (doesn't include the shade Purr):

Everything here will also be available at Ulta but I don't have the date for that yet...I'll update this post when I find out more!

Are you excited to try anything from this collection?

Mally Beauty Muted Muse Eyeshadow Palette Review

I've been thinking about purchasing the Mally Beauty Muted Muse Eyeshadow Palette ($29) for a while now, but for some reason I never pulled the trigger. Then a few weeks ago, I saw it presented on QVC and that gave me the push I needed to just go ahead and buy it already.

Spoiler alert...I love it!

Let's take a look.

Pur Cosmetics Elevation Highlighter Palette Review & Swatches

I spotted the new Pur Cosmetics Elevation Palette ($15) at my local Kohls store (it was in the little travel-sized area by the registers) and since I can't resist a highlighting palette I grabbed one to review!
Let's take a closer look...

The Lorac Mega Pro 2 Is BACK!

The Lorac Limited Edition Mega PRO 2 ($59) is now available at HSN.com! I missed my opportunity to buy this last year before it disappeared, but since then I've really gotten into Lorac's eyeshadows and have collected quite a few of their palettes.

This contains 16 matte and 16 shimmer eyeshadows, so it's a great deal for $59. The regular PRO palettes have half the number of shades and cost $44 so you're paying only a little bit more for double the amount.

Also, if you sign up for VISA Checkout during the checkout process (it works with any credit card and is free), you'll get $20 off your purchase at HSN which brings the cost of this palette down to $39!

Do you already own the Lorac Mega PRO 2 ? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. If you missed out the first time around like I did will you be indulging this time?

Grab yours now at HSN.com
